Tungsten and tin are two important non-ferrous metals with wide applications, especially in aviation, aerospace, military, electronics, chemical and other fields. The mining and beneficiation technology of tungsten and tin is of great significance for ensuring national economic development and national defense security. This article will introduce the operational steps and experimental results of tungsten tin beneficiation experiments.

1、 Test purpose

The purpose of this experiment is to explore the beneficiation process of tungsten tin ore through beneficiation experiments, improve the grade and recovery rate of the ore, and provide a reference basis for industrial production.

2、 Test materials

钨锡选矿试验 The raw material used in this test is a tungsten tin ore, whose main mineral composition is Scheelite, Galena, Pyrite, scheelite, etc.

3、 Test method

1. Ore grinding

After rough grinding, medium grinding, and fine grinding of the raw ore, powdery minerals are obtained for use in subsequent beneficiation experiments. During the grinding operation, it is necessary to pay attention to the speed of the mill and the size of the grinding ball to ensure the grinding effect.

2. Flotation test

Place the ground mineral powder into a flotation cell, add an appropriate amount of reagent, and conduct a flotation test. The type and dosage of flotation reagents are key factors affecting flotation efficiency. In the test, we used xanthate solution and Pyruvic acid as flotation reagents, with the dosage of 200g and 100g per ton of mineral powder respectively. In flotation experiments, attention should be paid to controlling parameters such as flotation time, reagent dosage, and stirring speed to ensure flotation efficiency.

3. Re-selection test

Put the flotation foam after flotation into the gravity separator for gravity concentration test. The rotational speed, inclination angle, and water flow rate of the gravity separator are key factors that affect the efficiency of gravity separation. In the experiment, we used an inclined trough type gravity separator with a rotational speed of 120r/min, an inclination angle of 5 degrees, and a water flow rate of 15L/min. In the re selection experiment, attention should be paid to the control of parameters such as re selection time, water flow rate, inclination angle, and rotational speed to ensure the re selection effect.

4、 Test results

After flotation and gravity separation experiments, we obtained a batch of high-grade tungsten tin mineral powders. Among them, the grade of tungsten reached 0.36%, with a recovery rate of 85.2%; The grade of tin reached 0.45%, with a recovery rate of 90.1%. The experimental results indicate that the beneficiation process used in this experiment is feasible and can effectively improve the grade and recovery rate of tungsten tin ore.

5、 Conclusion

This experiment explored the beneficiation process of tungsten tin ore through flotation and gravity separation experiments, and achieved good experimental results. In actual production, it is also necessary to combine the characteristics and process flow of the ore, optimize the beneficiation process, improve the grade and recovery rate of the ore, and make contributions to national economic development and national defense security.
